CLIENT: Meadowbrook Country Club
LOCATION: Northville, MI
YEAR: 2022-2024
The Meadowbrook Country Club renovation encompassed a comprehensive transformation of the lobby, catering office, and second- floor women’s lounge and locker room with new finishes, fixtures, and furniture. Addition of a lower-level outdoor bar, main-level family dining room and expansion of the existing banquet room offer views of the golf course. MPA designed the new banquet space with a vaulted ceiling which required removing the existing second floor over the room and creating a new roofline that maintained exterior historical architectural integrity. The new lobby area was reconfigured to provide more seating, and the historical marble fireplace was relocated to become a focal point in the space.
The new family dining room concept centered on the theme of a refined brasserie: comfortable, familiar, and contrasted. A 25’ double-sided banquette provides seating for small or large parties while three adjacent half-round booths offer a more intimate dining experience. The existing fireplace was expanded in the main lounge to a double-sided highlighting a feature wall in the new family dining room. The new carpet, tile, and upholstery finishes feature shades of blue, gray and camel which blend seamlessly with the existing finishes in the adjoining corridor and pub. MPA created the design concept “Mélange” for the expanded banquet space with key descriptors of transitional, refined, and elegant.
The enlarged banquet room features an expansive vaulted ceiling with coffers and trusses that peak at 28’ above the custom- designed carpet. The overall goal of the project was to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that would enhance the club’s membership experience.
